What is your favorite part about Her Campus Clemson?
I love the community of writers both locally on campus and nationally at different universities across the country. It empowers women and provides an outlet for sharing ideas, news, and opinions. It’s a great organization to be involved.
What is your favorite article you’ve written?
I really enjoyed writing my “Letter to My High School Seniors” that I wrote last fall. It was a great opportunity to reflect on my first month in college and to share advice I wish I had known as a senior in high school. It was also one of the first pieces I wrote for Her Campus.
Where is your favorite place to write or study on campus?
I’m a big fan of Starbucks. It has everything I need tables, chairs, and coffee ☺.
What is your favorite word in the English language?
“Fearless” is one of my favorite words. Partly, it’s an ode to my favorite singer/performer Taylor Swift. However, it also reminds me to eliminate unnecessary fear from my life and to go after what I want.
What is the best advice you’ve given or have been given?
My mom always told me that everything happens for a reason. I need to trust that I’ll end up where I’m supposed to be even if I don’t see it right now.
What are you most looking forward to this year with Her Campus?
I’m looking forward to uniting our team of writers and gaining input about our organization from members. I’m excited to make Her Campus more known at Clemson and to expand our reach.
