But it’s so crowded…

But it is so crowded…

Everyone falls into the habit of making the New Years Resolution that they are going

to workout, going to eat better, and in general, live a healthier lifestyle. Well, then

there comes the problem that the gym is crowded because everyone on campus

made that resolution. So here are some tricks to getting around the busy times and

finding ways to workout, without having to go to Fike.

1. Stretch In the Morning

It has been proven that stretching and engaging in muscle relaxation and

stimulation early in the morning boosts metabolism. This can lead to burning more

calories during the day and having the ability to lose some fat and build some

muscle.

2. Go on a Walk

Instead of fighting over a bike, treadmill, or stair climber go on a long walk

around these hills and finish at the gym with some stretching or a light lift. That way you

aren’t stressed to get it all in at once or at one specific place.

3. Time It Out

There are times that the gym is not busy, but of course they are not the

easiest times of the day. Picking a time where most students are in class, or are

eating meals, or are in meetings (like chapter for sororities). Finding the right time

can really give you a boost in your day, even if it is in between classes.

So no more excuses! It can be crowded, but using these tips and more can truly un-

crowd the gym for you, and de-stress your daily routine.
