The End of the Semester As Told by Cats

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

Currently we’re all overwhelmed with endless amounts of papers, presentations and pre-final tests. With a few weeks left in the semester, it’s time to gear up for what lies ahead. Here’s finals week as told by cats to brighten your days and get you ready for finals while you’re taking a break from your diligent studies!

Pre-Finals

To start, we all feel like this at the end of the semester, clearly sleep deprived and trying to push through until winter break.

Then when you go to the library towards the end of the semester and you can hardly find a place to sit and you silently think to yourself, “do all of the people even go here?!”

Everyone’s general feeling during the last few weeks of the semester: completely ready to go study hard and prepare to ace those finals! Then within the first couple of hours at the library you start to slowly lose all sense of motivation you once had.

For those times when you just feel like anything is better than studying. So you decide to compulsively clean your room, or roll around on the ground (like this cat) just to procrastinate on studying.

And after hours of rigorous studying we all need a midnight snack, right?

When it’s 2am and you are so done with any form of schoolwork imaginable.

Finals Week

When it’s a few days into finals week and you are just so overwhelmed with life, you want to just hide from your work.

When you suddenly realize that your final is tomorrow.

When you know you’re prepared and about to go ace your final.

You sit down and receive your exam. Then, you see the obscene number of questions on it.

When you want to just get up and leave your final exam.

Post-Finals

When you finished all of your finals, you did it!

And you realize this semester is over and you can finally go enjoy your winter break, which is hopefully filled with happiness, lots of sleep and lots of good food!

And if you need some extra inspiration to get you through the next few weeks, just remember: you can and you will finish the semester and ace your finals!
