5 Thoughtful Mother’s Day Gifts

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Clark chapter.

With Mother’s Day right around the corner on May 8th the stress of buying a gift is setting in. But don’t worry collegiettes, Her Campus Clark has you covered! Here are five possible Mother’s Day gifts that are sure to wow any mom.

1. Jewelry

I know we’re all on a budget here but these absolutely adorable and customized bracelets have so much potential and can be a simple way to remind your mom how much you love and cherish her. These beauties are both on Etsy. The first cuffs are from LayeredAndLong and the second personalized bracelet is by CaitlynMinimalist.

2. Flowers

Now that it’s finally spring celebrate this beautiful season by getting your mom a hanging plant that’s sure to look absolutely stunning! And if you won’t be able to see your mom on Mother’s Day, sending flowers is a great way to show her you care from afar. Check out sites like 1800flowers.com for great deals on pretty blooms.

3. Keychain

You may be skeptical at first but these key chains scream I put some serious thought into this gift. Think about it, your mom can’t go anywhere without her keys, and a key chain will remind her how much you appreciate her. Besides, there are so many different styles so you’re bound to find one that’s perfect for your mom’s style. Check out these three precious products on Etsy: GeekTags, VantlerLeather and TheCloverSmith.

4. Something Personal

This gift involves a little bit of extra thinking, remember those little things your mom is always saying she needs or would like to buy? Maybe she ran out of her favorite perfume a couple of weeks ago and has been meaning to go get some. Save her the trip of going to the store and surprise her with exactly what she needs! Or maybe there’s these shoes that you and your mom saw that she fell in love with but couldn’t justify spending her money on. This gift could also be as simple as surprising your mom by making her favorite meal. The fact that you put in the time and effort to remember whatever personal gift you may get your mom is sure to warm her heart.

5. Handmade Card

We all know that no mom can resist a good handmade card! If all else fails don’t forget to channel your inner Picasso and make her a card she’ll keep forever. After all, Mother’s Day isn’t always about the fancy gifts; it’s about showing your mom you don’t know what you would do without her.
