I recently went and got a haircut this week, and I love it! I feel renewed and happier, and as a result I’ve decided to inspire some of y’all to go and get haircuts of your own. Here are three reasons why you should head to the salon right now:

1) You’re In A Style Slump

Find yourself wearing the same ponytail/bun/braid everyday? Is your hair more of a burden than a blessing? Before chopping my locks, I would simply throw my hair under a baseball cap or beanie most of the week. I had no idea what to do with my hair, and it reflected on how I dressed, which in turn played a role in my confidence in school. By cutting my hair, I have a new look that I can style multiple ways, and that I am excited to experiment with!

2) Headaches

Getting your comb caught in tangles, trying to take a hair tie out while not yelping, the total and utter weight of it all…long hair comes with many challenges. Being a college student, I already stress about a lot of things. The last thing I need is for the weight of my hair to give me headaches and migraines and just add to everything. After I cut my hair, I feel lighter and more free, and I’m ready to tackle all the problems in my busy college life.

3) Treat Yourself

Sometimes we just need a confidence boost, and what better than a day spent at the salon cutting, coloring, and styling your hair? Salons are pretty relaxing, and I always feel extra beautiful coming out of one! If you’ve been lacking in the self-love department, a new haircut may be just what you need!

Think about it. One little haircut can change the way you perceive yourself. It can make you more confident and happier, and happy girls are the prettiest! So go out and reinvent yourself!
