Best Ways to Sit Back and Relax

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Cincinnati chapter.

When you go out you get to spend quality time with your friends, play fun games and even meet new people! However, being social can leave people feeling sluggish and unmotivated. Sometimes it’s best to just chill and have a night in to yourself once in awhile.

It is completely fine to not go out everyday of every weekend. Your mental and physical health are going need to recover from a long week. Personally, I love to stay in, relax, and have some me-time. My favorite thing to do is order a pizza, relax in the tub or on the couch, and binge watch a Netflix show.Whenever I feel stressed, I try to do something engaging. Whether it’s cleaning my room and blasting music, or baking homemade cookies, it always puts me in a great mood. Another great stress reliever, and a personal favorite for me, is to exercise. I often go on runs, or go to the gym on my nights off, and I physically and mentally feel a lot better afterwards.

There are so many activities that you can find that allow you to take a well-deserved breather. Choose one that aligns with your personality and will always be there for you to fall back on. For more ideas, check out 4 Things to Do When You Don’t Want to Go Out by Ginnah Cashman!
