As spring goes by and summer approaches, the stress from finals starts to diminish and free time opens up. That means more time to binge watch your favorite TV shows. Well here are five must-see television seasons to watch this summer to unwind from the outside world.
New Girl – Season 7
This premiered April 10 on Fox in case you missed it! It deeply saddens me to say this is the final season of “New Girl.” Pour yourself some wine (if you are of legal age) and turn on this comedy sitcom to share some laughs with your gal pals.
The Handmaid’s Tale – Season 2
Premiered on April 25 to Hulu, “The Handmaid’s Tale” has a 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. This television series was adapted from a dystopian novel by Margaret Atwood and is a must watch if you are interested in the twisted.
The Bachelorette – Season 14
Releasing on May 28 to ABC, Becca Kufrin will be returning as the Bachelorette after her appearance on season 22 of The Bachelor. She was actually the winner of season 22 of The Bachelor; however, Arie broke off his engagement with her to resume his relationship with his runner-up Lauren (so annoying). Let’s see if this season keeps us on the edge of our seat like Arie did.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – Season 4
On May 30, season 4 of the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” will be released on Netflix. But only the first six episodes of season 4 so, unfortunately, you can’t binge watch them all in one sitting. Maybe that’s a good thing though.
Casual – Season 4
Releasing July 31 on Hulu, “Casual” is a must-see television series if you are interested in a chaotic, but lovable family dynamic. It is a comedy-drama that is relatable on multiple levels. Are you single, divorced, dating? Are you a mother, daughter, brother, father, uncle? If you said yes to any of those, you will be able to relate and laugh at any circumstances they go through.
