Where to Find Fashion Inspiration (Part 2)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

 1. Celebrities

Probably the most obvious source of inspiration-celebrities are always meant to keep up with the latest trends and look at least presentable in case they end up being photographed, even when running chores. Some sources of (current) inspiration to check out; Rachel Bilson, Sienna Miller, Emma Watson, Zooey Deschanel, Nicole Richie, Kate Moss. In my post next week I will further delve into finding a good celebrity inspiration!

2. Blogs
People make blogs based around fashion entirely. In dire need of inspiration? It might help to check out a couple of these blogs: (once again, as I mentioned in my last post, even if the actual clothes are too expensive, it doesn’t mean you can’t be inspired by what the posters are wearing and try to find something similar for much less!)

Cupcakes and Cashmere
Classy Girls Wear Pearls
Who What Wear
The Sartorialist
Refinery 29
Sea of Shoes

3. Magazines

Yet another obvious source of inspiration. You don’t even need to pay money and subscribe in order to look at some of the fashion layouts and look for some inspiring outfit combinations—you can always check out the magazine website too. Sometimes some of their websites even have style guides and tutorials that can really help a girl out! Check out Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Teen Vogue, and ELLE for high-class inspiration, NYLON for alternative-creative inspiration, and Cosmopolitan for affordable yet stylish and sexy options.

Where do you find inspiration? Please, leave a comment letting us know! We’d love to hear from you!
