What is your favorite thing about December? 

Going home and being with my family.

Name one class you took this semester. What did you like most about it? 

Creative Writing. I loved how much we got to talk about each other’s work.

What is your favorite winter treat? Peppermint bark!

What will you be doing over winter break? 

Spending time with family and reading as much as possible!

Childhood Dream Job: I loved Celine Dion when I was little and I always wanted to be her.

Current Dream Job: Best-selling author!

What do you love most about being a Chatham woman? 

I love this campus and all the people who attend. I love the professors and I have made some of the best friends I’ve ever had here.

  Mara Flanagan is entering her seventh semester as a Chapter Advisor. After founding the Chatham University Her Campus chapter in November 2011, she served as Campus Correspondent until graduation in 2015. Mara works as a freelance social media consultant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She interned in incident command software publicity at ADASHI Systems, gamification at Evive Station, iQ Kids Radio in WQED’s Education Department, PR at Markowitz Communications, writing at WQED-FM, and marketing and product development at Bossa Nova Robotics. She loves jazz, filmmaking and circus arts.
