Hometown and what you love about it:
Tiny town in Southwestern PA. I love it’s history, and I love that when I was a kid it was a community of neighbors that all knew each other and looked out for one another.

Area of study and how you chose it:
My major is International Studies with a concentration in Europe. I chose it because I traveled a lot, but my real passion is my minor, which is Environmental Policy.

What organizations are you involved with at Chatham?
I’m involved in CSG and Residents Life. I’m a representative for my class and an RA in one of the residence halls.

What is one thing you hope to learn in 2015?
In 2015 I hope to learn how to maintain a certain level of sanity. I graduate in December, so that is a feat in and of itself.

Why did you choose Chatham?
I chose Chatham University because I liked the colors on the website…

What advice do you have for prospective students making their college decision?
My advice for prospective students making their college decision would be to sit back, breathe, and ignore where everyone else thinks they should go. Pick the place that when you see pictures of it, you think, “That’s a place I belong. That’s a place I could call home” ….or just pick the place with the nicest website design.

What’s surprised you most about Chatham so far?
Chatham is full of surprises. I think I was most surprised to realize that choosing a women’s college was one of the most impactful decisions I will ever make in my life. This is a community that gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed to be world ready.

Childhood Dream Job: Bartender

Current Dream Job: Sustainability consultant…or a bartender

If you could only eat at one Pittsburgh restaurant for a full year, which one would you pick and why?
If I could only eat at one Pittsburgh restaurant for a full year I would eat at the Yard. Not because the food is extraordinary, but because they have over 20 kinds of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, and that’s a challenge I’d like to accept.

If you could be best friends with any movie character, who would you pick and why?
I would be best friends with Tina Fey. Why? Because TINA FEY.

If you could join the cast of any TV show, which one would you pick and why?
The cast of 30 Rock. Why? Because TINA FEY. Witty people being ridiculous in the Big Apple? Yes, please.

You have a friend visiting Pittsburgh for one day, and you’re planning the itinerary. Where do you take them?
My Pittsburgh Itinerary: The incline (duh), Joe’s Crab Shack for bloody marys, a stroll through the Strip District market place, people watching by the Cathedral, Hungarian dinner at Jozsa Corner in Hazelwood, then a nightcap at Le Mardi Gras.

You can live in the world of one book for a day. Which one do you choose and why?
If I could live in one book? Llama in Pajamas. No explanation necessary.
