The Gifs Of An End-Of-The-Semester Downward Spiral

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

It’s that time of the semester that “going downhill fast” actually translates to “falling off cliff.

It starts off with thinking you have this under control…

To realizing you’re just really good at lying to yourself. One all-nighter just became a week of no sleep.

Does no one realize that its just plain mean to have ALL large projects due the same week? That is one big pile of something.

By the time you get to Wednesday, looking at a computer screen is the equivalent to staring into strobe lights.

Speaking of lights, the sun has become an enemy. Thursday feels like a perpetual hangover.

The word Friday has lost all meaning. The only term that holds any meaning is “sleep” and it’s so beautiful it can bring a grown, independent woman to tears.

Now the only thing you have to worry about are the five assignments due over the weekend.

Take solace in knowing you are not alone. The semester will come to an end one way or another.
