Fashion Blog: 6 (Current) Celebrities to Look to For Fashion Inspiration

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

Rachel Bilson
The former O.C. star/current Hart of Dixie lead is known for her slightly bohemian but always trendy style. Brian Reyes, a designer and Bilson’s good friend, often styles outfits for Bilson. Bilson even had her own line for DKNY a few years ago named Edie Rose. She always looks effortlessly put together, yet she is not afraid to take fashion risks, such as mixing prints.

Olivia Palermo
Olivia Palermo, seen in the short-lived MTV spin off The City, is that girl that seems to have a never-ending closet. Palermo almost never repeats an outfit, at least in public; the few times she does, she spices up her old clothes with new accessories or pieces. Although her wardrobe is very costly, it is daring and fun.

Emma Watson
Emma Watson is easy for anybody to look up to since her style is so simplistic. Her new short ‘do is similar to Audrey Hepburn and Jane Birkin’s very classic, clean cut style. She dresses to look put together and comfortable-a philosophy that should be about every college girl’s wardrobe!

Alexa Chung
Former MTV VJ Alexa Chung is known worldwide for her spunky, quirky, menswear-inspired closet. Chung’s style is oftentimes considered controversial; many people find it offbeat and totally unique while others don’t see the appeal to her “strange and childish” outfits. Either way, Chung is good to look to if you like Annie Hall-esque outfits but still enjoy looking feminine.

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift definitely has a girly, whimsical style. What I love about her style, however, is her fearlessness to switch it up and try new looks. Some days you’ll see her wearing beanies and looking like an Urban Outfitters hipster, while others you’ll see her rocking a sundress and boots like an All-American girl next door.

Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie is the definition of upscale bohemian. Having come a long way from her Simple Life days, Richie now shows off her healthy mother’s body in long, flowy dresses, boho vests and flowy shirts, and tons of accessories. Richie now even has two fashion houses to her name: the clothing line Winter Kate and the jewelry line House of Harlow (named after her daughter).
