5 Ways to Spend Time in the Carriage House

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chatham chapter.

Now that the Carriage House has been updated, we bet you’re wondering what there is to do!

1. Play some Wii Mario Kart
After a long day, sometimes what a girl really needs is to burn some rubber on the Luigi circuit. The Carriage House has purchased a new Wii system complete with games, four remotes and steering wheels. Have at it!

2. Read a book by the fire
The brand new working fireplace is the perfect place to curl up with a good book or finish up that knitting project. Simply flip the switch and let the flames warm your soul.

3. Have a smoothie
The new smoothie bar will be opening soon so save up your flex! Students will be able purchase fresh fruit smoothies and juices with their flex or cougar dollars.

4. Host a meeting or an event
Student organizations can now hold their meetings in the Carriage House. Any space is up for grabs. The back part of the Carriage House is great for more intimate meetings. The large room is great for events. Host a Super Bowl party or a Netflix night.  Need more privacy? Check out the conference room.

5. Study!
It’s not the most fun activity, but the Carriage House great for the students who like to study in a busy environment. Plus if you need a break there are plenty of distractions at your fingertips
