What To Do If You’re on Campus for Thanksgiving

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

Even if you’re unable to head home for Thanksgiving break, there are still many activities that you can do on or around campus!

1. Catch Up on Work.

Thanksgiving break is a great way to catch up on homework and get prepared for finals. There are only two and a half weeks left until finals, and studying early is a great way to avoid stress later on in the semester.

2. Volunteer

Volunteering around Chapman is a great way to focus on others during the holiday season. Take this time to work around the community and serve others. Here is a list of nearby volunteer places around campus!

3. Decorate Your Room for Christmas.

Although there are only a couple of weeks left until Christmas break, now would be the perfect time to focus on decorating for the holidays, as well as tidying up for the start of school next week.

4. Pamper Yourself

Because school can become very hectic and chaotic very quickly, it is important to take time to focus on yourself and your well being. Take Thanksgiving break as a way to relax: read books, catch up on Netflix shows, and have face mask nights! Ensure to recuperate before the craziness of school and finals approaches quickly.

5. Have Thanksgiving Dinner with Dean Price

Every year, Dean Price puts on a traditional Thanksgiving dinner consisting turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more! It takes place Thursday, November 23rd from 2-4, and is hosted by the Student Union! Even though you may be on campus for Thanksgiving, it is a great way to get involved at Chapman, and meet more people.
