As temperatures drop and crazy weather abounds, plenty of Tar Heels have found ways to keep warm without sacrificing style! Check out some of the most fashionable students we spotted around campus this week.
Breanna Kerr, ‘16
For style inspiration, Breanna turns to thrift stores and loves to raid her mom’s closet. She found her sweater at Raw Velvet Vintage in Charlotte and the 5’11 Raleigh native has even modeled for Franklin Street favorite Clothing Warehouse! While she loves a thrifting find at an even better price (like her Free People tunic shirt,) she points to her Carrie Bradshaw-inspired nameplate necklace as her go-to accessory.
Simone Duval, ‘15
From her high-waisted shorts to fishnet tights and leather jacket, Simone, a photographer, loves wearing head-to-toe black. She walks to campus each day and says footwear is always a big concern, although she aims for both comfort and style in fringed black booties! She tops it all off with a long silver and turquoise necklace.
Rohan Smith, ‘14
A London native, Rohan describes his style as “inspired.” Finely crafted details like boots set off by cuffed jeans make him stand out even in a sea of bundled up students hurrying to class. Mixed materials in a dark palette ensure that his layers are both chic and practical!
Jordan Edwards, ‘15
Expertly coordinated, Jordan went for sporty and cool in his varsity jacket and Brooklyn Nets hat. Black and gray tones look anything but dreary on Jordan when set off with interesting details and unique pieces. His favorite brand, he said without a doubt, is Polo. Looking sharp!
Tom Cole, ‘16 and Hannah Henderson, ‘15
This stylish pair couldn’t help but stand out! In bright blue Nikes, Tom, from London, describes his style as “arctic urban.” Hannah, from Dundee, Scotland, layers colorful knitwear and said she goes for more of a “country chic” look. Either way, these two have nailed both cozy and cute!
