Tips On How To Boost Your Instagram Account

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Casper Libero chapter.

Tired of your Instagram feed? Try to think of it as a big and connected picture. Here’s how you can do it!

When we are going to meet someone nowadays, one of the first things we check before or after the meeting is the person’s social media. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter, are life, obv. Plus, they are our current kind of business card, even if we don’t use them with professional purposes, we are worried about the impression that our feed and our photos are causing on our daily visitors. However, I’m going to give you tips to improve only your Instagram account.

Want to keep your followers, get even more likes from them and be followed by new visitors?

You don’t need to be pretty, rich, skinny or be making money with advertisements in your pictures. What you really need to boost your account on Instagram is to follow a regular theme, to make your feed harmonious and post photos that have some kind of link between them, either by the effect/color or by the scene that was being captured.

To get those perfect photos to compose your feed you need to learn how to edit them, changing the brightness, contrast, saturation, and also running into the shadows and warmth, but do it with caution , you don’t want to exaggerate and have your pictures looking like they were clearly edited by Photoshop amateurs.

A further step you should take to help launching your Instagram account is to be strategic in what you post next.

Think about your first and third previously photos, to imagine how the feed will look like before you post a new one. If it fits, go ahead and hit the upload button!

Crafting a stylish Instagram feed is not as hard as it looks. You just have to keep posting until you find a pattern or a theme to start following it from there.

3. Finally, keep it organized.

If you are new on this feed organization trend, don’t be overly emotional to delete any images you think that don’t fit anymore.

To get started you can download some apps to help you:

  • To organize the pictures you post: UNUM
  • To edit them: Picsart, Facetune
  • For filters: VSCO

To keep your account fresh, go without fear through your feed on a regular routine and check if it is still balanced.
