Campus Celebrity: Drew Blasius

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Case chapter.

This week, I met briefly with Drew Blasius (far right), and during our short encounter, I learned a lot about him. He’s a math and physics major originally from Lakewood, NY with a lot of cool interests. Read more about him below, and I’m sure you’ll think he’s as intruiging as I think he is!

Name: Drew Blasius

Age: 20

Year: Junior

Relationship Status: Single

Her Campus: So, Drew, what are some things people wouldn’t normally guess about you?Drew Balsius: Most people expect me to be kind of boring because of my majors, but I actually got my motorcycle license this past summer, and that’s something I really enjoy. I also have a very eclectic music taste. I could be listening to Jay-Z one day and Rage Against The Machine the next day.

HC: Wow, I definitely would not thave guessed that about you! So what do you do with your time off?DB: In my free time I enjoy reading, and excersing..specifically, activities like swimming and biking. I also enjoy Netflix. My suitemates just started watching the bachelor, so that’s something new I’m watching.

HC: So, I hear you’re involved with Greek Life. Could you tell me a little more about that?DB: Yeah. I joined Sigma Nu last semester, and I’m on the Scholarship Committee. I’m also a member of the IFC Judicial Board misconduct task force. The misconduct task force is facilitated by the Greek Life Office, but it’s really being pushed by the community. We came up with ideas on how to handle some of the issues that have been happening on campus, but it’s really up to greek life to make sure the issues we came up with are effective. It’s not an easy issue to tackle.

Drew would really like to encourage students to think about and discuss bringing non-privileged confidential student and faculty resources to campus.

HC: If you could have one superhero power, what would it be?DB: I would want Batman’s super powers.

HC: But… Batman isn’t even a real superhero.DB: He still has superhero qualities, though. He’s really confident, and never gives up.

HC: I guess you’re right about that. So, tell me…who is your Man Crush Monday, and who is your Woman Crush Wednesday?DB: My man crush is Nick Tatnall, my freshman year roomate. My woman crush is definitely Serena VanDerWoodsen.

HC: Okay, one last question. If you could have one job forever, what would it be?DB: A lot of people in my major gravitate toward academia, but I’d like to do research while teaching at a lower level.
