6 Things To Do In A Power Outage

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Case chapter.

1.)  Light a candle! Or if you are not the proud owner of a Pumpkin Spice triple wick, then just use your flashlight…. Plebeian.

2.)  Phone a friend. Dark times should never be spent alone!

3.)  Go for a stroll! Take your friend with you though, if the outage is after dark.

4.)  Meditate. This would be a great time to ponder life questions, such as, what is the purpose of life? Here’s a Maya Angelou quote to get you started.

5.)  After you’ve found your purpose in life, go ahead and be thankful that you were born in a time period and place where the worst part of your day is a power outage. Maybe just send a quick thanks up to Mr. Edison for making your life so much easier on a daily basis.

6.)  And if this power outage occurs in the middle of the night, then take that as a sign that you should stop watching Netflix now and just go to sleep.
