It has been a long time since I went to an awards show, so when I was given two tickets to the iHeartRadio Music awards, I completely freaked out for two reasons. One: Justin Bieber was performing, and two: Zayn was performing. My two husbands together with me in the same room! What more could I ask for? I invited my mom to go with me and on Sunday, April 4th, we set off to the awards show at The Forum in Inglewood.

Once we went through security and entered the venue, we were all put into different sections of the pit, which is right in front of the stage. Surrounding the pit were about fifty tables or so where the special celebrity guests would sit. To our surprise, we ended up standing right next to none other than Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s table! I almost passed out when they sat down and said hello to us. But I was even more surprised when I saw Justin Bieber sit down only two tables away from Selena, due to their on and off relationship drama.

The performers of the night included: Meghan Trainor, DNCE, Chris Brown, Jason Derulo, Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, and Zayn. The event was extremely fun, especially because being in the pit, we got to interact with the performers and just dance and have the time of our lives.

That night really made my childhood dreams come true. I mean, Joe Jonas and Demi together (which by the way, Joe went up to Demi during his performance and sang to her)! And then, seeing Selena and Justin who I’ve been a fan of since I was like, twelve. And same with T-Swizzle!

I was never a fan of Chris Brown until that night, but his performance blew me away. The most surreal moment was being right in front of Zayn while he sang a song he’s never performed before: “Like I Would.”

Congrats to all the winners, especially JB who won best male artist, and T-Swizzle, who won a brand new award called the “Best Tour” award.
