Stuck at home and need a Starbucks coffee delivered? Craving some delicious Thai food? What about some donuts right before midnight? Chipotle, anyone? All of this is now possible through an app called Crunchbutton.

“Push a button. Get food delivered.” That’s the motto for Crunchbutton, a food delivery app that is now available in San Luis Obispo for Cal Poly students. This app is free to download and easy to use for all your cravings to be filled.

Options include Taco Bell, Chipotle, Starbucks, SLO Do Co, Panda Express, Urbane Cafe and so much more!  With just a $3 delivery fee and a $10 minimum, it has become a cost-effective way for students to get food delivered fast and easy, especially for large groups. Crunchbutton is open from 6 p.m. to midnight, the only delivery business in town that is open that late.

Judd Rosenblatt, a senior at Yale at the time, founded Crunchbutton in 2012. Rosenblatt and his partners created an app called the “One Button Wenzel” for Yale students. The “Wenzel” was a popular food item that Yale students were huge fans of (like the equivalent of a Firestone tri-tip sandwich).

With the success of their “One Button Wenzel” app, Rosenblatt and his co-founders, David Klumpp and Devin Smith, created Crunchbutton for various local restaurants across the nation. This app can now be started at other universities for students to get local food quick and easy.

Neha Jagannath, a Cal Poly Student Rep for Crunchbutton, explains that Crunchbutton has grown immensely and is a great app for students in San Luis Obispo.

“We are one of the few schools on the West Coast to have Crunchbutton. The app saves your previous orders so that you can quickly get food delivered, Students can now order food with just one click of a button.” said Jagannath.

If you are interested in getting involved in marketing for the app, contact Neha Jagannath at njaganna@calpoly.edu.

You can download Crunchbutton for free through the app store. You can also go ‘Like’ their Facebook page for promos and giveaways!

Enjoy that midnight Taco Bell 7-Layer Burrito, my friends.
