10 Reasons Why You Should Visit Disneyland During the Holiday Season

For those of you who may not know, I am a HUGE Disney fanatic. I could probably tell you anything and everything there is to know about the Happiest Place on Earth. As we all know, Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, but it gets even more magical from November 10 through Jan 7. So if you haven’t yet experienced Disneyland during the holiday season, make sure to get your tickets ASAP! I guarantee you are going to have a magical, unforgettable experience. Here are 10 reasons why you should visit Disneyland!

Sleeping Beauty’s CastleThe famous sleeping beauty castle gets even more magical and beautiful during the holiday season. The castle gets decorated with fancy lights and beautiful ornaments and it looks just as amazing at night as it does during the day! Don’t forget to capture a picture of the sleeping beauty castle this holiday season.

FoodHoliday-themed food will be everywhere this holiday season–you’ll find a variety of food everywhere you turn from holiday Yule logs that you can get from the Main Street Bakery, to Mickey’s Red Velvet Waffles, peppermint ice cream, candy canes, pastries–the list is endless!

World of Color – Season of LightThe World of Color water show at Disney’s California Adventure, gets even more special during the holiday season. It features holiday music along with animations from classic Disney films. You definitely don’t want to miss this one.

The Decorated RidesRides like The Jungle Cruise get into the holiday spirit and turn the jungle cruise into a festive, holiday-inspired, ride. 

The Haunted Mansion The Haunted Mansion gets less scary and more merry and turns into Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas film. The lines are usually a bit longer for this attraction during the holidays, but in my opinion, it’s so worth it.

It’s A Small World A classic ride for many, this ride is even more beautiful during the holidays. The whole idea surrounding it is to promote peace on earth and uniting all the various cultures. Riders get to see dolls of various countries around the world dressed in their traditional holiday attire all while singing the famous “It’s a Small World” song in different languages. 

The CharactersOur beloved Disney characters come out to play this holiday season and you can see them walking around in their very festive holiday attire.

“A Christmas Fantasy” parade“A Christmas Fantasy” parade has been around since 1994, and features the classic Disney Characters along with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the reindeer! Anna and Elsa, along with other characters also make an appearance.

Believe … In Holiday Magic” FireworksThe Believe in Holiday Magic Fireworks at the sleeping beauty castle light up the sky with music that transports you back into your childhood, and appeals to all ages. Definitely one of the most captivating magical moments of Disney.

The Magical ExperienceOverall, Disneyland is the most magical place on earth, and it’s even more magical during the holidays. If you’re still not convinced, just go and experience it for yourself! Going to Disneyland brings out the child in all of us! Go for the decor, the food, the drinks, the characters dressed in holiday attire, the gifts, and the fun. You won’t regret a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth and the memories that you will make that will last you a lifetime!
