I can honestly say I was hoping for a more Halloween themed box this month, but this one was too good to be disappointed with. I give it five stars because, not only did it make my curls look just as fabulous as Shirley Temple post-pin curl morning, but it also has helped my skin refresh from this cold-to-warm weather we’ve been having as well as save my chapped lips. Four for you BirchBox, you go BirchBox.

1. Miss Jessie’s // Original Pillow Soft Curls // My curls loved this lotion and will continue to love it since I’ll be buying the full size after I run out of the very generous sample packet. This didn’t make my curls crunchy or too weighed down, which I really liked. It also has a lot of natural ingredients like avocado and coconut which I also really like. My curls were a lot more bouncy throughout the entire day instead of dropping halfway through like usual.

2. Evologie // Stay Clear Cream // I was really excited when I got this because in a past box I received the spot treatment serum and still have some left. I’be been using them together and so far so good. It’s light enough to use in the morning but I like it better when I can layer it on at night. This cream is very hydrating without the thickness, unless applied generously on purpose.

3. Serious Skincare // Glycolic Gommage Extreme Renewal // So, I may or may not have peaked online to see what I was getting before my box got here, and I was extremely excited to see a glycolic treatment but I was even more surprise when it got here and was a mask! Now, for those with sensitive skin, you’ve been warned. This product is supposed to stay on your face for 10 minutes before you rinse/scrub it off, but the first time I used it I couldn’t withstand it for that long. But in the end, my skin was more beautiful than Cinderella’s. Here’s how it works taken directly from the BB website:

Glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that penetrates the skin and weakens the lipids that contribute to the build up of dead skin cells, teams up exfoliating malic acid, as well as phytic acid, which reduces hyperpigmentation and inflammation, and lactic acid, which tackles acne. Essential oils—including olive oil, sweet almond oil, and lemon oil—moisturize and balance skin tone.

4. POP Beauty // Aqua Lacquer // Despite the intense stickiness factor of this fabulous lip gloss, the color and surprise applicator makes it well worth the hair-stuck-on-lips look. It’s not a brush, sponge tip, or slanted plastic top, but instead it’s a stick applicator with a small plastic part on the end that doesn’t have anything on it. Weird, I know, but still effective. The color is subtle but very nice and rich.

5. Chapstick // Hydration Lock // It’s just chapstick… or is it? It works well as a base under lipstick and lipgloss and is actually extremely moisturizing. Perfect winter chapstick!

I'm an 20-year-old college girl trying to get my life together. I'm majoring in News Editorial Public Relations some kind of Journalism at Central Michigan University and hoping one day I'll love every minute of it.Eat, Pray, Love is the first book I've ever read whose style is comparable to my own. Read that book, like it, and you might have a sweet tooth for my writing. If not, well, I'm not one to lose sleep over people not liking me. Other than writing my days are spent in class, at the gym, or in my room tearing my hair out because I procrastinated on my homework. Did I mention I like cats?
