The 10 Stages of Class Registration Illustrated by Leslie Knope

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at C of C chapter.

It’s that time of year again! Class registration is one of the most exciting, yet ruthless, times of every semester. Fortunately, Leslie Knope is here to guide us through it. How many of these do you relate to?

1. You make a list of all the classes you want at least two weeks in advance.

Here is Leslie with color-coded binders containing your preferred classes.

2. You make a list of all your back-up classes and back-up back-up classes, too. Just in case.

3. You start prepping the night before, leaving encouraging sticky notes on the walls and giving yourself pep talks.

4. You wake up early to check class availability – just in case it changed since last night.

5. With only a few minutes to go, you and your friends check in for moral support.

6. The page takes too long to load. You anxiously glance at the clock and realize registration has already been open for 2 whole minutes.

7. You see other students registering for classes. Will one of them get the last seat in that class you need?

8. Finally, all your CRN’s are entered. You press the submit button and cross your fingers, hoping for the best.

9. Your schedule for next semester appears! Now you can sit back and relax, eat some waffles and whipped cream, or even go back to sleep.

10. Thankfully, you never changed out of your pajamas.
