Long Tests are the Worst

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Butler chapter.

Repeat after me folks: tests are made to assess your knowledge, not to see how fast you can work out a calculation. I hateeee tests that are too long to finish in the allotted time. What’s the point buddy? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

This rant did not come out of nowhere. Though I wish it did. No, this rant came out of last week’s Research Methods and Statistics test that we just got back this Friday. It was ugly. I did not answer the entire backpage because my ass took forever to do the earlier calculations.  Blank answers = zero credit = overall failing grade.

So I got an F, but do you know what really makes that F sting? I finished the RMS test in my teacher’s office, for no extra credit, and got full credit on all of the blank answers.  In other words, the grade I would have had, had I had ample time: B+. Motherfucking B+. I can’t stand long tests.
