1. “Wtf is up with the ladybugs?”
Reddit user, opfball91, is determined to get to the source of UB’s recent ladybug presence. One user replied with “just eat them to establish dominance.” Another Reddit contributer offered some apocolyptic insight onto the situation as a whole. “First was the Plague of the Geese. Now it’s the Plague of the Ladybugs. I fully expect it to rain fire and brimstone next week. Which would be totally sweet cause I would get out of having to take an exam.” Regarding a student who walked into a math class and 3 ladybugs flew off him, the situation was described as “that’s alpha” by DrShocker.
2. “How are the buildings connected on North Campus?”
An inquiry by reddit user, socialmediaisbs, about how the buildings on UB’s North Campus are connected, initiated amusing commentary. Fortunately for socialmediaisbs, user brin722 provided a step-by-step guide to navigating UB without facing the elements.
“How to learn the connections path:
Step 1: Have a strong desire to stay inside.
Step 2: Need to be on the other side of campus.
Step 3: Get to the other side of campus without going outside.
Step 4: Become UB cartographer and have mental map of pathways”
3. “Studying at a table in NSC with a friend who left momentarily when this woman came over and fell asleep. I don’t know her.”
When it comes to napping at UB, we know no limits. To clarify the situation, a woman fell asleep on the NSC chairs across the table from the poster of this story. Reddit user, Petardfoozer, does not share the same love for NSC chairs as that woman. “Wouldn’t want to put my head on those cushions though, could you imagine the number of farts they have absorbed?” Reddit contributer McBurger confidently answers with “At least 450 in the past month.” The exact method to how McBurger determined the number of farts in the given time frame has not been specified. User hrb2492 offers his or her experience with the NSC chairs. “The first time I sat in one I sunk so much lower than I expected and it frightened me.”
4. “Easy classes”
User, theunseeingeye, was looking for somewhat easy classes to take this spring semester. theunseeingeye desires “A’s without much effort before I graduates.” Naturally, the UB Reddit community helped out, suggesting the yoga athletic elective. Another poster, Jackyau, then informed readers that there is a “yoga class that’s graded based on attendance” and that one can “get an A and exercise…” One reddit user clearly does not recommed yoga, remarking that “yoga is”…”work. Don’t go into that class expecting an easy A.” Following this post, a contributer writes about a positive experience, saying “that’s complete bull, I took hatha yoga 1 and 2 over 6 times and got As because of attendance.” I would expect this Reddit user to qualify for a minor in yoga after taking the class six times.
5. “Where is there a lot of grinding?”
Another hard hitting question by a UB student, with an urge to know the hot spots in Buffalo for grinding. User Rubisco_ wanted to clarify to the asker of this question that “this isn’t a middle school dance.” On a more serious note, tritiumhl suggests to “try surrender or slicks,” and that “I’m pretty sure the U is getting turned into a Mexican restaurant.”
