Prepare for the Oscars at the Lewisburg Campus Theater

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the Campus Theater is so delightful…

With the temperature dramatically dropping and the Oscars coming up at the end of this month, February is the perfect time to take advantage of the Campus Theater in downtown Lewisburg. The Theater offers a diverse slew of movies each month, many of which have been nominated for an Oscar. The line-up changes weekly so there is always something new to see and to keep you coming back to this nostalgic downtown find. So grab your BU ID, some popcorn, a bottle of wine if you’re of age (for BYOB Nite on Fridays and Saturdays) and enjoy the amazing films offered this month! Then, don’t forget to attend the Red Carpet Awards Party at 6:00 and a live screening of the 88th Annual Academy Awards at 8:00 on February 28th.

This movie follows the love story between two women, played by the amazing actresses Rooney Mara and Cate Blanchett. Set in the intolerant era of 1950s America, this film is a powerful rendition of the forbidden love story we have heard time and time again, but this time with a groundbreaking twist.
