Hey! It’s OK…: Homecoming Edition

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bucknell chapter.

Hey! It’s OK…

…if you can’t believe Homecoming and Halloween overlap this year……but still be up to the challenge of successfully combining two awesomely separate weekends into one.

…if you’ve agreed to let your fifteen favorite alums crash at your house over the weekend. Everyone will fit, right? They will bring their own food, toiletries, libations…right?

…if this week’s coming visitors make you excited and terrified at the same time…

…and if you end up having a dance floor make-out sesh with your old fling as if it’s freshman year again

…if you meet your g-g-g big, act like you’ve been besties for years, and have a fam photo posted on Instagram by the end of the Super Saturday

…if this is the first game you’ve made it to all season…

…and be more excited for the free giveaways than the football itself (we’re not all sports people)

…if you have planned your outfits (or costumes) around the fact that you’ll see all of your old crushes and ghosts of boyfriends past

…for alums to pretend they never even left

…and for you to bask in the glory that you’re still an officially enrolled student at Bucknell

Margaret is a senior at Bucknell University majoring in psychology and economics. She is a campus correspondent for Her Campus Bucknell, a member of the women's squash team, and spent last semester abroad in Rome. She loves all kinds of music from Michael Buble to old-school hip hop, Kiawah Island (SC), Oprah magazine, crossword puzzles and going out to leisurely weekend brunches with her friends.
Elizabeth is a senior at Bucknell University, majoring in English and Spanish. She was born and raised in Northern New Jersey, always with hopes of one day pursuing a career as a journalist. She worked for her high school paper and continues to work on Bucknell’s The Bucknellian as a senior writer. She has fervor for frosting, creamy delights, and all things baking, an affinity for classic rock music, is a collector of bumper stickers and postcards, and is addicted to Zoey Deschanel in New Girl. Elizabeth loves anything coffee flavored, the Spanish language, and the perfect snowfall. Her weakness? Brunch. See more of her work at www.elizabethbacharach.wordpress.com
