Relay for Life at Bucknell

  Bucknell’s annual participation in Relay for Life will take place this Saturday, April 27, 2013 to Sunday, April 28 in the Gerhard Fieldhouse from 5 p.m. until 5 a.m. Relay for Life is an event sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Various people and organizations participate in Relay in over 20 different countries. With the help of its passionate supporters, Relay is able to raise over $400 million dollars yearly. This money helps to fund cancer research, as well as to provide services for cancer patients and their families. READ MORE

Boston Marathon: Heroic Deeds in Tragic Times

  What started as an annual celebration quickly turned into a day that will forever be lamented in our country. The bombings that occurred at the Boston Marathon last Monday are no doubt tragic and horrific. No one expected the bombings, especially the runners caught completely off-guard as they ran across the finish line. However, the heroic and brave acts following the bombings demonstrate the power of compassion that often take place in such sudden emergency situations.
