Hey collegiettes, spring is finally here! Well, it technically arrived in March, but we’re finally experiencing that sunny, light-jacket and cropped pants weather we all love! So embrace that spring fever, pause your Netflix, put down those books and get outside! As BU students, we’re lucky we have three pedestrian pathways that lead directly onto the Esplanade—one by the BU beach, one on Bay State Road across from Towers, and one at Mass. Ave., just past Danielsen. You have to take advantage of this easy access to this beautiful Boston park!
I’ve listed some activities below to get you outside and onto this nice grassy space. What’s so great about the Esplanade is that it’s convenient—budget 15 minutes or even a whole day to spend in the park. You definitely need to try some, if not all, of these activities—there’s something for everyone!
1. Play on the playground(s) and enjoy the swings
2. Read a few pages of your new favorite book
3. Go on a walk
4. Write a poem
5. Rent a Hubway and ride down the entire path
6. Rollerblade
7. Draw a picture or sketch a scene
8. Sit on the dock
9. Practice some yoga
10. Go on a photo shoot
11. Tan
12. Play Frisbee
13. Catch an event at the Hatch Shell
14. Do your fitness routine
15. Enjoy a picnic with your friends or significant other (or both!)
Moral of the story: get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather, collegiettes!
