Theatre Performance: Monster

Saturday, February 4, 2012
When:
Thursday, February 9, 2012 - 7:30pm - Saturday, February 25, 2012 - 11:00pm

In a provocative production from the Boston Center for American Performance (the professional extension of the BU School of Theatre), Jim Petosa directs Monster, a brilliant stage adaptation of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein from Obie-award winning playwright Neal Bell. The play provides a disturbing yet poignant look at one man's insatiable quest to defeat death by creating life  and the dreadful results of abandoning his creation. Tickets are free (limited availability) at the door for the Boston University community on the day of the performance; $15 for BU alumni, students and senior citizens; and $20 for the general public. The play will be running from February 9 to February 25, so there will be plenty of opportunities to check it out in the Lane-Comeley Studio 210 at the BU Theatre (264 Huntington Ave.).
