The Snow Day Diaries

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.
20 Stages you go through during a Snow Day:

1) You hear that there may be a chance of snow tomorrow and you already begin refreshing your email in hopes of receiving a “university closing” message from BU Alert.

2) You continuously check WCVB, Twitter, Facebook, even Snapchat stories…

3) When you finally see your school’s name flash across the bottom of the TV screen, while you’re watching The Bachelor, you holler to your roommate and text your friends using every emoji in your phone.

4) Since you’re snowed in, you make plans to watch movies all day and night.

5) Ah, so relaxing…freedom and your bed.

6) After three episodes of Sex and the City, two episodes of Broad City, and half of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, you’re officially bored.

7) Your friends were supposed to join you, but the Uber surge is unreal. Who does Uber think we are? Kim Kardashian?

8) Maybe you can at least get drunk alone.

9) Except you have no alcohol and all the liquor stores are closed.

10) Not to mention you forgot to go grocery shopping before the snow hit and you’re left with two packets of instant oatmeal and stale tortilla chips.

11) It’s only 4 PM? What are you supposed to do for the next 8 hours?

12) You could always do homework.

13) You’re not going to do homework.

14) When all else fails, a nap is the reasonable move.

15) *Wake up at 5:03 PM* Okay, one hour down.

16) You could clean your room or apply for summer internships.

17) Nah, just go on Tumblr. You’ve had a rough day.

18) As bored as you are, the thought of school kills you.

19) You pray for another snow day tomorrow. Maybe you’ll be more productive.

20) You won’t.
