How to Manage Stress: A Day in the Life of Rhett at the ERC

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

No one knows stress better than Rhett. He spends his days running around from student groups to sports games, and just about everyone stops to get a picture with him! So what’s a stressed terrier to do? Here are Rhett’s tips for managing your time and remaining stress free:

After getting a full night’s sleep of 8 hours, Rhett wakes up ready to begin his day.

Before heading to class, Rhett grabs a cup of coffee to keep him alert in class. He manages his caffeine intake by only drinking one cup of coffee a day. He makes sure to drink it well before going to sleep, so it doesn’t keep him up at night!

Coffee in hand, he makes a quick stop at the dining hall for breakfast, his favorite meal of the day!

Well-rested and alert, Rhett heads to class and takes a seat in the front of the room. With a clear mind, he’s able to answer all of the hardest questions!

After class, Rhett always spends at least 10 minutes looking over his notes.

After a long day of schoolwork and studying, Rhett makes time for relaxation. Rhett needs to save his energy for cheering on the excited fans at BU Hockey games, so he does yoga to stay relaxed and levelheaded all day. It’s a great way to end or start a long day, he always says.

So what’s Rhett’s secret to managing his time and stress so well? He frequently visits the Educational Resource Center!

He attends workshops on time management, decision-making, and test prep in Room 101.
