Valentine’s Day. It’s here again, that one day of the year that has put almost every girl in a bad mood at least once or twice in her life, or if you’re anything like me, every year. Since it’s on a Thursday this year, most of us have class, which means sitting in bed with a pint of Ben and Jerry’s and the candy your mom sent you isn’t really an option. Here are some idea’s to help you avoid the day in general.

1. Stay away from CVS, or any store with a Valentine’s Day aisle.

2. The gym is a good Valentine’s Day free place to go to let out some of that anger.

3. After class, stay in, order take out, and watch a horror movie.

4. Wear really dark sunglasses. That way when you see couples, you can cry without anyone noticing. Or if the glasses are dark enough, you may not even be able see the lovebirds at all!

5. Do laundry. The loud machines will take your mind off the rough day.

6. Go shopping- a little retail therapy never hurt anyone. Well, except maybe your bank account, so try not to splurge.

7. Go out with your girlfriends! Just treat it like any other Thursday, but I would avoid the typical “date night” restaurants.

8. If all else fails, take a tip from Cher on Clueless and send yourself flowers. Just kidding, don’t do that.

Good luck, and just remember, it’s only one day.
