Meet this week’s campus cutie, CFA sophomore Hanna T. Yang!
This adorable half Asian, half Swedish Boston native is a graphic design major with a minor in communications. She’s only been on campus for a little over a year, but has already taken Boston University by storm. When she isn’t working on her latest CFA project (like the giant heads currently displayed in the 808 gallery), she spends her free time exploring Boston through her taste buds!
“I’m into trying new things, but I’m always down for some real authentic Taiwanese flavor,” says Hanna, who’s known for her specialty dumplings.
Catch this cutie teaching a spinning class at Fitrec on Mondays and Wednesdays. Hanna got certified this summer and looks forward to sharing her passion for fitness and killer playlists with other students.
“My classes are really challenging, but my goal is to make them feel like a giant dance party, so your body’s exhausted but you feel like you just walked out of the club,” jokes Hanna.
On weekends, Hanna likes to relax with friends, go for runs on the esplanade, or take a trip home to see her two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Kola and Moxie. She loves to hike and camp; she even went on a two week camping trip this summer in Maine!
This go-getter is also a member of CFA Gov, where she singlehandedly started their social media campaign, and runs their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
Hanna’s hoping to study abroad in London or Shanghai her junior year. She’s also hoping to minor in environmental sciences.
“I think that education in the environment field is important because though I love BU’s city campus, being in an urban environment makes me appreciate wilderness and open nature much more.”
Not only is the campus cutie my roommate, but she’s also my personal chef, constant pick-me-up, and best friend. She’s super friendly, so if you see her on campus, be sure to say hi!
