Monday Music Notes: New Music!By March 5, 2012 - 12:00am Hey HCBU ladies! We're at the home stretch! T-minus 5 days until SB! Here's some new albums and songs to get you through the week: Estelle- All of Me This album contains some hard-hitting hip-hop tracks, which contrast Estelle’s funky disco style that we’re used to hearing in her popular tracks such as “American Boy” and “Fall In Love.” However, All Of Me still exhibits soulful and sunny R&B songs, so fans can experience different sides of Estelle’s musical abilities. I particularly like “Do My Thing,” which features Janelle Monae. WZRD- WZRD READ MORE |

The story, which is centered on a 60-year-old divorced man living in England, is not one I would have chosen by myself, so I’m glad someone else chose it for me! READ MORE |

I don't think any actress or actor looked like a train wreck—everyone to a certain extent really tried to look their best. Thankfully, Helena Bonham Carter wasn't there to top the Worst Dressed List. Ballroom Dancing Through Life: Emily Shoov CAS ’12By March 2, 2012 - 12:00am We’ve all got extracurricular activities, but for most of us, they don’t involve the words waltz or cha-cha, and there are no glittery costumes. For Emily Shoov (CAS ’12), however, these are standard elements. She ballroom dances, taking lessons at Dance Fever Studio in Newton, MA and competing an average of three times a year. These competitions are usually in Massachusetts, but she has gone as far as New York City and Las Vegas in the past, and is considering an upcoming one in Costa Rica. Here, she tells Her Campus all about how Ballroom has become an integral part of her life: HCBU:What kind of dance do you do? READ MORE |
