7 Texts You’ve Definitely Sent to Your BU Roommate

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BU chapter.

Every roommate relationship is unique, but there are a few things all BU roommates have in common.  They all have those nights they decide to ditch the dining hall for the GSU, or opt to catch a few extra minutes of sleep and take a chance that the BU Shuttle will be readily available (even though it so rarely is).  So, here’s a few familiar texts you may have sent your roomie once or twice.

1. To go or not to go to Fitrec?

We’ve all had the urge to ditch the weights and treadmill for a hearty burrito bowl and extra guac.

2. Finding a Seat in the GSU Is a Team Effort

True friends will hunt for a place to sit while you wait in line at Loose Leafs.

3. That Awkward Moment When You Realize You Don’t Have Your BU ID

You know there’s no way you’re getting past the security guard without it.

4. When You Forget to Keep an Eye on LaundryWeb

You know that open washers and dryers are coveted, but sometimes people are just impatient.

5. Everyone Loves Rhett

It always brightens your day when you see our adorable little mascot strutting down Comm Ave.

6. Sometimes You’re Just Craving Nachos

When it’s a bad night in the dining hall (a.k.a when they don’t have pasta), it’s time to treat yourself to some Sunset Cantina.

7. BU Students Run on Caffeine

You know you have the best roomie ever when they offer to go on a Dunkin’ run.

Only BU roomies will understand the struggle of remembering to carry your ID everywhere, and just how cute Rhett the terrier is.
