Make Time for What You Care About – You’ll Never Not Be Busy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryn Mawr chapter.

How often have you planned to hang out with friends when you were “less busy?” How often have you planned to make that trip when you were “less busy?” And how often did you find that you ever got “less busy?”

Before you know it, the whole semester may pass you by, and you’ll still be waiting for when life calms down and gets “less busy.”

Spoiler alert: You’ll never not be busy.

If there’s something you care about, you have to make time for it. It’s completely within your capabilities–I believe in you!

Just think about how much time you spend scrolling through social media or streaming shows on Netflix. Think about how much time you spend waiting for things to happen. Think about how much time you spend trying to make time pass by.

Take that time and use it actively.

Grab lunch with a friend in the middle of the week. Co-work at a cafe in the city over the weekend. Go to New York. Spend the five minutes waiting for class to start or waiting for transportation to arrive to read a book for fun.

Seize all those pockets of time and you’ll find your days expand.
