Meet the Orientation Leaders of 2016

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bryant chapter.

This summer, the Orientation Leaders will welcome the Class of 2020 to Bryant! These 16 students were chosen to be OLs because of their awesome personalities, leadership skills, and enthusiasm towards Bryant. Led by their two staff coordinators, this summer the OLs will create an orientation experience that the Class of 2020 will not forget! Get to know them:

Daniel Candler

Class Year: 2018

Fun Fact: I have a twin sister that nearly came to Bryant.

Favorite thing about Bryant: The Bryant community that offers so many opportunities.

Why they are excited to be an OL: To welcome and teach the incoming class all about Bryant!

Shirley Carrington

Class Year: 2018

Fun Fact: I am named after my mom and grandma making me Shirley Carrington III.

Favorite thing about Bryant: All of the different events and clubs that go on regularly to help me meet new people, get involved, and have more fun on campus!

Why they are excited to be an OL: To help the incoming freshmen and be someone they can look up to.

Andre Colleoni-Pimenta

Class Year: 2019

Fun Fact: I am Brazilian, I love to travel, and my favorite thing to do is jet skiing.

Favorite thing about Bryant: The amazing students. It’s the little things students do, like always saying hi or holding the door open for the person behind them, that make the Bryant experience unforgettable. The students at Bryant love to be here and make that clear by showing their school pride.

Why they are excited to be an OL: I want to show the incoming class how much Bryant means to me. I remember how amazing my Orientation Leader was and I want to do the same for the Class of 2020! Orientation is a time to learn about the school and meet new people; I want to spark conversations and help be the start of new friendships that may last forever. We have some awesome stuff planned for orientation and the Class of 2020 is going to have a great time!

Jharem Crevecoeur

Class Year: 2018

Fun Fact: I won state championships for soccer.

Favorite thing about Bryant: All of the friends I have made here. The people at Bryant are so amazing and if you get to know them, you can develop really cool friendships.

Why they are excited to be an OL: I want the incoming freshmen to enjoy orientation as much as I did. I want to be a mentor for the students because at my orientation I had a lot of questions that I never asked. I want them to feel welcome at their new home!

Amaranta Elder

Class Year: 2018

Fun fact: I had already filled up a passport book by the time I was 16.

Favorite thing about Bryant: My favorite thing about Bryant would have to be all the campus jobs, and the opportunities it offers to lead you into a world of leadership, which is necessary for all students’ futures.

Why they are excited to be an OL: I’ve always loved to be someone people can depend on. I can’t imagine how hard it is for a parent to trust that one group of people will provide the right guidance. The moment that a student contacts me in need for help or guidance will be the most exciting moment as an orientation leader.

Molly Gearan

Fun Fact: I traveled to Malaysia and Singapore in January for my Sophomore International Experience.

Jaclyn Kline Staff Coordinator

Fun Fact: My parents lost me in Macy’s when I was little because I was hiding in a clothing rack. They had to shut down the store and call security for help until I finally jumped out laughing.

Why they are excited to be an OL: I originally applied to be an Orientation Leader to be a part of a team that has so much impact on incoming students. I wanted to share my love for Bryant with those who might be nervous about the college experience.
