When were you elected as President of Senate?

April 16th myself, along with next year’s student senate, was sworn in and took our positions

What year did you join Student Senate, and why?

I joined Student Senate the Fall Semester of my freshman year. In high school I was part of my student council and I wanted to the same when I came to college. My first goal I set for myself upon arriving to campus was to one day become the Student Senate President.

How have you grown through Senate, position wise and as a person?

I remember myself as a freshman and I was this shy, awkward, and kind of quiet kid. Now I look at myself and I have no problem going up to people and talking to them or voicing my opinion on different issues around campus. I think that I am ready to take on this position because 3 years of leadership experience helped me to be prepared for this position.

What are some of your other extracurricular activities on campus?

I am also involved on campus in Pi Sigma Epsilon, The Linked Through Leadership program as a mentor and Change week Facilitator, and also with the Special Olympics Committee here at Bryant.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in life?

I know it sounds cheesy to say but I think my biggest accomplishment would be the Senate President Position, it has been my goal on campus for 3 years and I finally reached it. But if I didn’t have that I would say it would have been the ability to come out on such a “closeted” campus.

What do you hope to accomplish on campus next year?

As Student Senate President I was elected by the campus, and I think that it is most important to hear from the students and what they would like to see next year. Without the Students the Student Senate would not be able to function, they are basically at the core of what we do. But of course I do have some of my own goals that I hope to see implemented or worked towards next year.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

One day I hope to become the CFO of Boston Medical, it’s one of my greatest dreams. My back plans are either to open up a bakery or to open up a franchise from Pinkberry, because who doesn’t love frozen yogurt?
