A Wrap-Up of December Live Music

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bristol chapter.

With the sudden cold snap and looming deadlines it can be increasingly tempting to enter a state of hibernation until January exams are over. However, there were still many incredible nights of music on offer lasting till the end of term. Here are our top picks of music events that happened this December:

1st December – Tourist @ Marble Factory

For an evening of chilled electronic vibes, head down to Tourist’s headline show at Marble Factory.

3rd December – In Motion/Knee Deep in Elrow

This 12 hour long event started at 4 in the afternoon and continued into the later hours of the morning. With great acts such as Hot Since 82 this was an amazing event.

9th December – Channel One @ Lakota

Phaeleh and Sukh Knight took to the main room of Lakota for one of the last nights of term, with the other room being cultivated by Bristol University’s reggae society.

10th December – In:Motion/Crack Magazine

This is definitely an incentive to get your deadlines out of the way before the penultimate week of term. Featuring the likes of Rødhåd and Daniel Avery, this was surely one of the best line-ups of this term.

16th December – Origins w/ Joy Orbison

Having recently played an incredible all-night set at Bristol’s Marble Factory, Joy Orbison played another date in the South West, this time at Moles in Bath. It was worth the short train journey to Bath.
