Secret Santa Gift Ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

What could be more fun than to organize a Secret Santa gift exchange with your college friends before you go home for the holidays, or with your family or high school friends for when you arrive?  If you’re stressed by finals, this could be a great way to do some retail therapy.  And I know you’re dying to check out the holiday window displays at all the stores on Newbury Street, so now’s your chance.  But, I know it can be hard to pick a gift that is not just the typical nail polish or gift card.  Do you need ideas for a more personal gift?  You’ve come to the right place.  Here’s a list of 10 great Secret Santa gift ideas for this holiday season:

1. A mug to fill with hot chocolate to keep your friends warm in the coldest parts of winter.

2. Lotion to keep your friends’ skin moisturized in the cold weather.

3. Fuzzy socks to protect your friends’ toes from the snow.

4. A candle to keep your friends’ whole bodies warm and cozy (don’t forget it’s not allowed in the dorms though).

5. A scrapbook, so your friends can remember all the great times you had together this semester.

6. Stationary supplies, so your friends can keep in touch with you over break the old-fashioned way.

7. A journal for your friends to record their holiday adventures.

8. Sunglasses in case your friends need to shield their eyes from the sun on that hot beach vacation.

9. A water bottle so they can stay hydrated on their vacation.

10. A good book to pass the hours away
