Why you should see it: We’ve been following Katniss’s epic story since 2012, and it is finally coming to an end. Give your support to one of the strongest heroine’s in current young adult fiction, and join the rebellion against her dystopian world.

The Theory of Everything

The film was inspired by the memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Wilde Hawking, which deals with her relationship with her ex-husband, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and his success in physics.”

Starring: Eddie Redmayne, Felicity Jones, Tom Prior.

Why you should see it: Stephen Hawking is known for his successes in physics and theories about black holes, but this movie takes a look into a side of his life that is not widely known. Although you might want to bring a pack of tissues (or two), The Theory of Everything is a tale of love and perseverance, and perfect for the cozy holiday season.

Why you should see it: Based on the true story of computer scientist Alan Turing, the man who helped to crack the Nazi’s Enigma code which in turn aided the allies in winning World War II only to be later criminally prosecuted for his homosexuality, The Imitation Game is film that combines math, logic, and emotion to create a movie that will suck you right in- and not let you go till the very end.
