This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bowdoin chapter.

Name: Joe Sise

Year: 2014

Hometown: Amsterdam, New York

Major/Minor: English/Film Studies, because job security after college is the most important thing to me.

What activities are you involved in on campus?

I’ve been in three Curtain Callers shows, I took Systema lessons for freshman and part of sophomore year, and I’m a no-show member of the Quill and Film Society (I get the emails).

What are the most interesting things on your Bowdoin bucket list?

Well, until now it was “become a HerCampus Campus Cutie,” but I can check that one off now… So I’d love to have a beer with a professor.

What are your top 5 most listened to songs?

I had to pull up my iTunes for this one.

#1 is “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash”.

#2 is “The Last Man”, by Clint Mansell (from the soundtrack to The Fountain).

#3 is “Rock Island, 1931” by Thomas Newman (Road to Perdition)

#4 is “Reckoner”, by Radiohead.

#5 is “There’s No Place Like Home” by Michael Giacchino (Lost).

Favorite guilty pleasure movie or TV show?

I absolutely love “Love Actually.” But that shouldn’t be a guilty pleasure, should it? (HerCampus’ answer: Nope.) How about “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton”? I also watched the full first season of “Desperate Housewives”.

Where would you go on your dream vacation?

Man, I’d love to spend a few weeks in Ireland. Or the Bahamas, and I’d go to that club James Bond goes to in “Casino Royale”.

If you could take anyone alive or dead on a date who would it be and why?

I’d love to take Jennifer Garner on a date, but Ben Affleck would want to fight me, or he’d make a disparaging movie about me that’d get a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for a girl / most romantic thing that’s ever been done for you?

My friends Mark and Sam woke me up in the morning saying “It’s Joe Day!” and bought me a pizza, which was super awesome. But if we’re talking about girls here, I went on a really nice date in New York City last August. We went to Central Park and to the top of 30 Rockefeller Center. It was a ton of fun, and I’m definitely gonna try and do it again.

Any special Valentine’s Day plans?

Hopefully they’ll be showing “Love Actually” in Sills (even though that’s more of a Christmas movie). In other words, not really. But hey, who knows?

Anything else you’d like the ladies of Bowdoin to know about you?

I won’t think it’s weird if you come up and talk to me. In fact, that’d be really nice. Unless I’m in a hurry.
