Ivies As Told By The Characters of Girls

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bowdoin chapter.

If you’re really invested you start early in the week

Although the formal kick-off is Brunswick Quad on Friday, where everyone will compliment each other on their sundresses

You’ll probably meet a visiting guy with cool stories about life at a big university

But you’ll draw a hard line if he tries to follow you and your girls around

After dinner and a nap, somebody might suggest heading over to 3LAU—but if  it’s only 9:30

If you get cornered by a tipsy senior at brunch the next day, just smile and nod

After brunch everyone will head over to Whittier Field, and Guster fans crowd near the stage

Hoodie Allen comes on and you start dancing with your friends

Then realize you are dancing by yourself

But it’s fine because you know where to find your girls: on the picnic blanket having a heart to heart

Dining sets up the barbecue and you wait until the line dies down to grab a cheeseburger

Which turns out to be a bad idea but there’s always pasta salad

Pine Street is a lot of this; however, you go anyway for the sake of tradition

Because come Monday you’re gonna feel like this when you remember that essay you put off

But until then, you know what to do if someone so much as mentions the word “homework”
