Campus Cutie: Mike Lachance

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bowdoin chapter.

Name: Mike Lachance

Year: 2013

Hometown: Manchester, Maine

Major/Minor: Economics and Environmental Studies, French

What activities are you involved in on campus? I’m on the club rugby and volleyball teams and I sing in this pretty cool group called BOKA.

Any good spring break plans? The first week, I’m headed to Costa Rica with my family for some zip lining and snorkeling. Then it’s back home in woodland Maine for the second week.

Since we’re approaching the last two months of senior sear (!!!), anything exciting on your bucket list? I really want to do the whole Frosty’s thing- wake up at 4 am and get there when they open… maybe for my next date?

Favorite Bowdoin dining meal? I’m a breakfast guy, so the day (Thursdays at Thorne?) with the stuffed French toast and the ham quiche. Unreal.

What are your top 5 most listened to songs? My current jams are Can’t Hold Us (Macklemore), Take a Walk (Passion Pit), Hypercaine (DJ Fresh), Wait So Long (Trampled by Turtles), and the classic September (Earth, Wind, & Fire).

Favorite guilty pleasure movie or TV show? Anything with Rachel McAdams.

Where would you go on your dream vacation? Probably a private island in the Caribbean, although a trip to the French Alps would be awesome too.

If you could take anyone alive or dead on a date who would it be and why? Besides Rachel, Emma Stone is right up there. And Mila Kunis would be decent too.

What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for a girl / most romantic thing that’s ever been done for you? I asked my high school girlfriend to prom by painting a message on a tarp and then hanging it over the school entryway. I guess in hindsight it doesn’t sound that romantic, but at the time it was a big deal because the whole school saw it. And she said yes so it worked!

Anything else you’d like the ladies of Bowdoin to know about you? No parents. (Credit to Casey Grindon)
