Oh Fergie. Fergie, Fergie, Fergie. Can we talk about her national anthem performance at the NBA All Star game last Sunday? I literally choked while watching it.
If you haven’t watched it, well, bless. I’ve never seen anyone try so hard to sing the national anthem in a… sexy way? Okay, but honestly, like why would you sing it that way? Why would you possibly want to make the national anthem… sexy?
Not to mention how problematic it is to begin with, but I digress.
Personally, I’ve always loved Fergie. I mean how can you not she gave us all the gems! Yes, I still bump to Fergalicious. So, this performance was particularly painful for me to watch. Nails on a damn chalkboard. I was embarrassed for the poor girl.
But hey, she tried her best!!! It takes a lot of courage to sing in front of thousands of people. Honestly, so many people have sung the national anthem and choked, unfortunately this year it was her turn.
Let’s just hope this isn’t repeated, because yikes.
