With Rosh Hashanah break brings lots of time to kick back and relax and recharge from the stresses that the first month of class has brought. And what’s a better way to relax than with a wine tour.

Black Bear Farm Winery, in Chenango Forks, is essentially right around the corner from the Binghamton area and gives you a great way to support the local community. They’re open from 12PM to 6PM Tuesday to Thursday and on Fridays they’re open until 9PM.

If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, check out the Ithaca area wineries and follow the Cayuga Wine Trails. There are dozens of options for fine dining, shopping, B&B’s and tons of great wine along the way. Plus the weather has been great these past few days so you can still catch some boat tours too! Ithaca has the Six Mile Creek Vineyards which is right near downtown Ithaca, an area which boasts more restaurants per capita than New York City.

If wine touring isn’t in your budget, then create your own. NakedWines.com has an elective collection of wines and with their special $100 off promotion; you can get six bottles for dirt cheap. The Wegmans, Johnson City Liquor Store has a great selection of wines from around the state and most are under $15! So call up your girls, pull up your Netflix cue with the sappiest chick flick you have and get to sipping!
