Here are the top 5 study abroad essentials that I plan to pack for my trip to London next spring! Most of these items are not London specific so not to fret, they are essential for any trip abroad!

1. The PERFECT Rain Coat:

I know this sounds like just a London thing but I don’t care if your going to London or Barcelona for the semester, you are going to want to have a rain coat in case you decide to travel anywhere in the UK.

2. A Crossbody Bag:

A crossboday bag is perfect for anywhere abroad because it will always be close to you and easily accessible. A crossbody bag is also much harder for someone to steal off of you, and when your abroad its not just your cash, credit cards and lipstick that might get stolen but its also your passport and identification in a foreign country!

3. Layers!

The weather can change like that (*snap) in Europe so you have to be prepared for anything! Try bringing a few great versatile layers like a military jacket, a light sweater, a long sleeve shirt and a tank top and a couple great scarves and that way you are ready for anything!

4. The Makeup You Cannot Do Without:

I know that we are all trying to pack light and everyone keeps telling you that anything you don’t bring you can get wherever your going, but if you’re like me and simply NEED your Chanel lipsticks and Urban Decay Eyeliner you don’t want to risk not being able to find makeup that you like and paying twice the price for it abroad as you would at home!

5. An Open Mind:

A good attitutude will take you farther than almost anything you can physically pack while studying abroad! You have to be up for anything! As the most fantastic movie ever would say “adventure is out there!” (Up, obviously.)
