Pumpkin Spice Lattes: Basic or No?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Binghamton chapter.

Ahhh the PSL is back at Starbucks for the fall season. As you read this, girls everywhere are wearing leggings, sweaters, and ugg boots while ordering the fall faorite (and of course Instagramming the beverage with their new iPhone 6’s and using the XProII filter) For this reason alone, the pumpkin spice latte has become what humans of 2014 would label as “basic” and while I am personally a big fan of the drink (and all pumpkin-flavor beverages for that matter) I couldn’t agree more with this label. So, if you’re trying to enjoy the fall festive drinks the Starbucks has to offer but trying to avoid the “basic” title, let me direct you to some other great drinks that available for a limited time this autumn.

1. Teavana Oprah Chai Tea Latte

This fall try a Teavana Oprah Chai Tea Latte that Starbucks describes as a “spicy chai blend of cinnamon, black tea and rooibos, lighly sweetened and finished with steamed milk.”

2. Salted Caramel Mocha

One of my other seasonal favorites is the Salted Caramel Mocha which perfectly belnds coffee, chocolate, and salted caramel flavors which can be enjoyed hot or iced!

3. Caramel Apple Spice

Another drink to try this season but is offered year round is the Caramel Apple Spice which is basically autumn in a cup.
