How To: Have A Successful Girls Night In

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Binghamton chapter.

It’s that time of the year at Binghamton: the weather is about to turn a little cooler, the work is started to set in, we’re starting to get a little lazy, and the need to go downtown and partying every night is starting to dwindle. It is the perfect time to grab a few girlfriends and have a classic girls night in! Here are some tips to make it the best one yet:

1. Do something in the fall spirit

Who doesn’t love this season? Try looking on Pinterest for some pumpkin-decorating ideas. Or, decorate your room Halloween-style. Baking pumpkin-related goodies is also always encouraged.

2. Rent some chick flicks

This is my favorite genre of movied. Who doesn’t love the classic Nicolas Sparks films, or better yet, Titanic, Clueless, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Pretty Woman, 500 Days of Summer…I could go on forever. No matter how many times you may have seen them, these movied never fail to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

3. Glam up!

Doing each others nails and etc. was a blast when we were little girls, and it is even more fun and enjoyable now as college students. It is always fun to unleash your creative side with different types of nail patterns. Along with giving each other mani pedis, google some basic recipes for basic face masks. Whip them up and try them on each other to assure that your skin doesn’t turn dry with the changing weather!
